Job summary

WelbeHealth is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our interdisciplinary team in California. You will conduct assessments, develop plans, and deliver interventions to maximize independence in ADLs, collaborating with IDT, physicians, and therapy staff.

Experience in outpatient, acute, inpatient, or skilled nursing settings is preferred. A CA OT license, CPR/First Aid, and a degree in OT are required; master’s preferred.

Job description

At WelbeHealth, each participant of our program is guided by our interdisciplinary team (IDT) - composed of clinical and non-clinical members who work cohesively to provide quality patient-centered care.

The Occupational Therapist coordinates and provides restorative and rehabilitative occupational therapy services, working closely with the PACE Physician, rehabilitation staff, and other IDT members to maximize participant independence and safety, as well as enhance performance of ADLs.

On the day-to-day, you will:

• Conduct Occupational Therapy assessments in our facility and occasionally in the home to define participant care needs, preferences, and goals
• Actively participate in IDT meetings to develop participant care plans
• Deliver and document interventions as agreed upon in participant care plans
• Provide active and passive exercise, muscle re-education, gait, and functional training of ADLs
• Work with Therapy Assistants, providing training, instruction, and guidance needed to implement Functional Maintenance Programs (FMP)

Job requirements include:

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy; master’s preferred
• Valid California Occupational Therapy License, or proof of license eligibility
• Must obtain CPR and First Aid certification within 180 days of hire and maintain certification thereafter; CPR and First Aid certification upon hire preferred

$105,809.60 - $126,475.48 USD
