Job summary

WorkCare, Inc. seeks an Industrial Occupational Therapist to provide onsite therapy on a large-scale construction project, focusing on injury prevention, early intervention, functional improvement, and ergonomic risk reduction.

You’ll work in an industrial environment with safety teams and occupational health professionals, shaping program delivery and improving worker outcomes while contributing to project success.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
  • Active Occupational Therapist license in the state of practice.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • 2–5 years of clinical Occupational Therapy experience.
  • Experience in occupational health, ergonomics, industrial rehabilitation, or sports medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite therapy evaluations and interventions within scope of practice and state regulations.
  • Deliver early intervention services to address musculoskeletal discomfort before recordable injury occurs.
  • Identify cases requiring medical referral and coordinate escalation.
  • Design and implement injury prevention and movement optimization programs.
  • Conduct ergonomic assessments and job task analyses.
  • Support return-to-work and transitional duty programs through functional progression.
  • Document all services accurately, timely, and in compliance with legal and program standards.
  • Track and report trends, outcomes, and program effectiveness.
  • Educate employees on body mechanics, posture, and safe work practices.
  • Collaborate with Occupational Health, Safety, HR, and leadership teams.
  • Maintain clinic equipment and supplies used for PT/OT services.
  • Comply with client policies, WorkCare standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform additional duties and assume responsibilities as identified by manager for the efficient operation of WorkCare.

Job Summary:

The Industrial Occupational Therapist provides onsite therapy services at a large-scale construction project, focusing on injury prevention, early intervention, functional improvement, and ergonomic risk reduction. This role supports worker health and safety by helping reduce injury-related costs and promoting safe, sustainable work performance.

Schedule:

Friday 7:00am - 6:00pm.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Education and Experience:
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.

Computer Skills:
  • Proficiency in Windows operating system environment, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to learn and use electronic medical records and client reporting systems.
Physical Demands:
  • Requires sitting for long periods of time, working at a desk.
  • Some bending and stretching could be required.
  • Working under stress and use of computer/phone required.
  • Manual dexterity required for use of computer keyboard.
  • Occasionally may be required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel and/or crouch.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 40 pounds and climb stairs
Work Environment:
  • Primarily onsite industrial/office environment.
  • The noise level is usually moderate.
  • Temperature and air quality generally controlled.

This position has an hourly pay range of $48 - $58. Final compensation for this position depends on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and qualifications.
