Job summary

Bluegrass Orthopaedics in Lexington, KY is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist to join our outpatient team. You will evaluate and treat patients with upper extremity and hand conditions, guiding them through personalized plans to regain function.

Work closely with physicians, fabricate splints, document in the EMR, and educate patients on injury prevention and self-care. Kentucky OT licensure required or eligibility; BLS preferred; strong communication and time management are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Kentucky licensure (or eligibility) as an OT.
• Hand/Upper Extremity therapy experience required; CHT certification is a plus.
• BLS certification preferred.
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with patients to improve function and independence.
• Evaluate, plan, and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Provide therapy including manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, and functional training.
• Design and fabricate custom splints and braces.
• Collaborate with physicians and team members to ensure exceptional care.
• Educate patients on injury prevention, self-care, and wellness strategies.
• Maintain accurate documentation in our EMR system.
