Job summary

Therapy 2000 in Texas seeks a dedicated pediatric Occupational Therapist for home-based care. You will evaluate children, design and implement therapy plans, and collaborate with families and physicians to support each child’s development.

You’ll coordinate with a team to ensure seamless, high-quality care in the child’s home. The role requires an active Texas OT license, reliability, and flexibility to adapt care plans as needs change, with opportunities for ongoing education and growth in

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive pediatric OT evaluations using standardized tests.

• Complete chart updates, progress summaries, and logs on time.
• Engage with agency staff to align on expectations and standards.
• Comply with agency policies, procedures, and applicable laws.

Qualifications

What you’ll need:

• A current/active license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Texas.
• An innovative spirit complemented by a demonstrated history of reliability.
• Flexibility to shift resources and priorities as necessary, based on the needs of the business.
• Ability to use common workplace technology (laptop computer, phone, email, web browser).

Bonus points for:

• 3+ years as a pediatric Occupational Therapist
• Experience in a home-health setting.
• Experience or certifications in feeding therapy or other clinical specialties (high-risk infant, etc.)

Responsibilities

What you’ll do:

• Perform comprehensive Occupational Therapy evaluations, using standardized tests to determine patients’ needs for therapy.
• Use your clinical judgment to develop and implement relevant treatment plans aligned with physicians’ orders.
• Develop home exercise programs in partnership with patients’ caregivers.
• Act as a vital member of your patients’ medical neighborhoods, collaborating and coordinating care between various providers and disciplines.Complete a minimum number of patient visits on a weekly basis as required by the agency.
• Meet deadlines for completion of patient chart updates, progress summaries, call logs, and all other paperwork as needed.
• Meet with agency personnel as necessary to maintain understanding of expectations and standards related to delivering high-quality patient care.
• Perform all duties in compliance with agency policies and procedures.
• Adhere to all rules, regulations, codes of ethics, guidelines and federal, state and local laws applicable to home-health pediatric occupational therapy.
