Job summary

THERAPY 2000 in Texas is seeking a qualified pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our mission-driven team. You will evaluate children, develop individualized treatment plans, and coordinate care with families and other providers in home-based settings.

The role requires flexibility, reliability, and proficient use of standard technology to document progress. You will travel between patient visits, collaborate with families, and ensure compliance with all regulations and agency policies.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Texas OT license.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive Occupational Therapy evaluations using standardized tests to determine therapy needs.
• Develop and implement treatment plans aligned with physicians’ orders.
• Create home exercise programs in partnership with caregivers.
• Coordinate care with patients, families, and other providers across the medical neighborhood.
• Meet weekly patient visit targets and complete chart updates and progress notes on time.
• Maintain understanding of agency expectations and standards for high-quality care.
• Adhere to agency policies, procedures, and relevant regulations for home-health OT.

Qualifications

What you’ll need:

• A current/active license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Texas.
• An innovative spirit complemented by a demonstrated history of reliability.
• Flexibility to shift resources and priorities as necessary, based on the needs of the business.
• Ability to use common workplace technology (laptop computer, phone, email, web browser).

Bonus points for:

• 3+ years as a pediatric Occupational Therapist
• Experience in a home-health setting.
• Experience or certifications in feeding therapy or other clinical specialties (high-risk infant, etc.)

Responsibilities

What you’ll do:

• Perform comprehensive Occupational Therapy evaluations, using standardized tests to determine patients’ needs for therapy.
• Use your clinical judgment to develop and implement relevant treatment plans aligned with physicians’ orders.
• Develop home exercise programs in partnership with patients’ caregivers.
• Act as a vital member of your patients’ medical neighborhoods, collaborating and coordinating care between various providers and disciplines.Complete a minimum number of patient visits on a weekly basis as required by the agency.
• Meet deadlines for completion of patient chart updates, progress summaries, call logs, and all other paperwork as needed.
• Meet with agency personnel as necessary to maintain understanding of expectations and standards related to delivering high-quality patient care.
• Perform all duties in compliance with agency policies and procedures.
• Adhere to all rules, regulations, codes of ethics, guidelines and federal, state and local laws applicable to home-health pediatric occupational therapy.
