Lakeside Special Care Center, a Generations Healthcare facility is in search of an Occupational Therapist to join our team. Lakeside is a 94-bed secure facility specializing in the treatment of clients with psychiatric diagnoses. Our patients suffer varying degrees of physical ailments, and all have a secondary diagnosis of mental illness. The facility provides a transition from acute-care psychiatric treatment to a residential setting.

Job Description:

The primary role of the Occupational Therapist is to direct all aspects of quality patient care, including evaluation, treatment, treatment planning, goal setting, family education and documentation according to organization's guidelines, professional standards and community needs. This position will also serve as a patient and rehabilitation advocate for current prospective patients, to all internal and external customers while participating in quality assurance and customer service activities.

Pay:

$50.00 - $56.00/hr

Qualifications:

Graduate of an approved curriculum in Occupational Therapy, is able to practice unencumbered, is in good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards, has working knowledge of Medicare and other payer sources, full knowledge of residents' rights, exude professionalism in presentation, able to work on multitasks at the same time. In addition, qualified candidates must have proven success in providing extraordinary care, working as a proactive and contributing part of a dynamic team. Customer service expertise is crucial to ensure patient care is performed with kindness, competence, and compassion.
