Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in pediatrics preferred.

Job description

• Develops, implements and coordinates occupational therapy services and resources for children from birth to age 21 who have been identified with or are suspected of having disabilities that can interfere with daily living tasks, such as dressing, eating/feeding, playing, cutting, handling writing utensils and other fine motor skills
• Collaborates with parents, other team members and community partners to embed skills that build independence in the aforementioned areas into children’s daily routines
• Serves as an advocate for all children and youth

Education & Experience

• Master’s or doctorate degree from an accredited occupational therapy program
• Successful completion of the entry-level Examination for Occupational Therapists administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
• Appropriatelicense/certification from the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners
• Experience in pediatrics preferred
• Full-time with a master’s degree, working 192 days a year: starting salary of $56,975
