Job summary

LSMNJ in Jersey City is seeking a Per Diem Occupational Therapist to support the PACE program. The role fills in as needed, typically between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, providing patient evaluations and therapy services.

The successful candidate will have an OT license, graduation from an accredited curriculum, and at least 3 years of related experience, with strong communication and clinical skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Occupational Therapy Curriculum jointly accredited by AMA and AOTA or equivalent.
• Current Occupational Therapist state license.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; service orientation; active listening; critical thinking.
• Minimum 3 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Tests and evaluates patients' physical and mental abilities and analyzes medical data to determine rehabilitation goals.
• Evaluates patients' progress and prepares reports detailing progress.
• Plans, organizes, and conducts occupational therapy programs.
• Selects activities to help individuals learn work and life-management skills within limits of their capabilities.
• Recommends changes in patients' work or living environments, consistent with their needs.

We have a new opportunity for a Per Diem Occupational Therapist at our PACE program in Jersey City! This position would fill in, as needed, between the hours of 8:30a-5pm Mon-Fri.

1. Tests and evaluates patients' physical and mental abilities and analyzes medical data to determine realistic rehabilitation goals for patients.

Basic Qualifications

Education/Training/Certifications: Graduate of an Occupational Therapy Curriculum accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association or other equivalent organization.

Current Occupational Therapist state license

Skill(s): Excellent verbal and written communication, service orientation, active listening, critical thinking, judgement and decision making.

Experience: Minimum 3 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
