Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care; develop care plans.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatments per plan.
• Assist with regular standing/walking, lifting, transferring, and repositioning of patients as needed.
• Perform procedures as part of the rehab plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, exercises, modalities, devices, and wound care.
• Provide counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other providers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate discharge summaries conforming to regulatory and clinical requirements.

Marianwood Health and Rehabilitation in Issaquah, WA is a post-acute care facility with long-term care, short-term care, and geriatric services provided. We can offer a stable and fun in-house therapy team to work with as well as excellent programs serving our geriatric clientele in their journey to recovery. We are currently seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist for our in-house rehab program!

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct effective screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing appropriate care plans adhering to regulatory and clinical standards.


• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.


• The role involves regular standing and walking throughout the facility and occasional lifting, transferring, and repositioning of patients and equipment. Physical demands vary throughout the day based on patient care needs.


• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, and wound care.


• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.


• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.

Qualifications

• Occupational Therapist license is required.
