Job summary

Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide patient-centered rehabilitation services across inpatient and outpatient settings. The role emphasizes collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, development of individualized treatment plans, and ongoing evaluation to improve functional outcomes.

The position requires an AOTA-accredited OT program graduate, NBCOT certification, licensure in the relevant state, and active BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association accredited OT program.
• Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
• Licensure to practice in the state(s) where employed; state requirements must be met.
• Possesses and maintains BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and services within the scope of license and regulations.
• Provide patient care.
• Evaluate patient condition.
• Establish treatment goals and written treatment plans in collaboration with patient/family and team.
• Re-evaluate and revise treatment plan as necessary.
• Instruct patient and family in OT procedures and home programs.
• Participate in discharge planning and coordination with care teams.
• Document patient status and progress per standards and reimbursement guidelines.
• Communicate with the interdisciplinary team to integrate OT into care.
• Support program operations and contribute to quality improvement.
• Meet or exceed productivity and program goals.
• Supervise/educate students and participate in staff development.

• Staff will provide patient care, treatment, and services within the scope of their license, certification or registration and as required by law and regulation.

• Documents patient’s status and progress throughinitialevaluation, progress notes, and discharge summary according toestablishedinternal/external time standards and adherence to reimbursement guidelines.(Q)

• Participates in conferences/discussions as needed and exchange of written records with other interdisciplinary team members to integrateoccupationaltherapy treatment plan.
