Job summary

The Village at Marymount in Garfield Heights, Ohio, is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist (PRN) to join our caring team and provide high-quality therapy to residents in a Long-Term Care and Assisted Living setting.

The OT will review requests, assess residents’ daily living skills, select activities, teach basic living skills, and maintain confidentiality while complying with regulations. We offer a dynamic work environment and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current, unencumbered license to practice as an Occupational Therapist.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a group.
• Effective communication with others.
• LTC experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review requests for occupational therapy and physicians' orders.
• Interview residents to evaluate daily living skills and capacities.
• Select rehabilitative and therapeutic activities based on resident history.
• Teach basic living skills to residents as necessary and instructed.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and comply with regulations.
• Work cooperatively with the Nightingale team and interact with residents as needed.

As a Part-Time Occupational Therapist, you will provide high-quality care to our residents in a Long-Term Care and Assisted Living facility. Responsibilities:

• Review requests for occupational therapy and physicians' orders
• Interview residents to evaluate daily living skills and capacities and determine the extent of abilities and limitations
• Select rehabilitative and therapeutic activities and exercises based on the medical and social history of the resident
• Teach basic living skills to residents as necessary and instructed
• Maintain resident confidentiality by monitoring confidential information processing
• Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements
• Work cooperatively with the Nightingale team and take the extra mile to interact with residents as needed

Requirements:

• Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Must possess current, unencumbered license to practice as an Occupational Therapist from the Commonwealth
• Ability to work independently or as part of a group
• Effectively communicate with others
• LTC experience is a plus
