Job summary

Floresville Nursing and Rehabilitation in Floresville, TX is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our full-time team and provide rehabilitative therapy to residents with physical and mental impairments. The facility emphasizes an in-house therapy team with smaller caseloads to optimize patient time and care quality.

Responsibilities include documenting progress, maintaining billing records, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements while promoting a safe and supportive work

Qualifications

• Current Texas licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OTR) is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides rehabilitative and skilled therapy maintenance services to residents with physical, mental, psychosocial, or developmental impairments.
• Maintains expected productivity/efficiency set by the Director of Rehab or Administrator.
• Maintains accurate and timely patients' occupational therapy records by recording residents’ progress and daily notes.
• Records accurate billing information for occupational therapy services rendered.
• Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following facility guidelines.
• Maintains therapy equipment by performing preventive maintenance and coordinating repairs as needed.
• Adheres to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.

Job description

This position is at a skilled nursing facility in Floresville that serves both short-term and long-term patients. Floresville Nursing and Rehabilitation is under new ownership and has an in-house therapy team with smaller daily case loads with an emphasis on optimizing time with patients.

Occupational Therapist's Job Responsibilities:

• Helps residents by providing rehabilitative and skilled therapy maintenance services to persons with mental, physical, psychosocial, or developmental impairments.


• Maintains expected productivity/efficiency set by the Director of Rehab or Administrator.


• Maintains accurate and timely patients' occupational therapy records by recording residents’ progress and daily notes under federal, state, and insurance guidelines.


• Records accurate billing information for occupational therapy services rendered.


• Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following facility guidelines and procedures.


• Helps keep therapy equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs as needed.


• Serves and protects occupational therapy practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.


• Enhances occupational therapy practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
