Job summary

Sunny Days of California, Inc. is seeking Occupational Therapists to join our Early Intervention team in California. You’ll provide therapy to infants and toddlers, following IFSPs and collaborating with families in their homes and community settings.

We offer flexible scheduling, mileage reimbursements, a tech stipend, and potential health benefits for part-time staff. Sign-on bonuses and 401(k) options may be available, with a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• California OT license required.
• Pediatric/early intervention experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and provide OT services using the Parent Coaching Model.
• Follow each child’s IFSP and work with families to set developmental goals.
• Use family-centered coaching to build caregiver confidence and carryover.
• Deliver services in natural environments: homes, daycare, and community settings.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports bi-annually.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and state/federal regulations.

Our programs are multidisciplinary, providing occupational, physical, and speech therapy, as well as child development services.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide occupational therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Requirements:

• California Occupational Therapy license
• Pediatric experience required (Early Intervention experience preferred)
• Strong clinical & interpersonal skills
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
