Job summary

Birch Agency is actively seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist for a full-time, in-person 12-week assignment in Corunna, MI. The OT will support students' motor, sensory, and functional needs to help them access the educational environment.

The role involves evaluating, planning IEP-aligned interventions, and delivering direct and indirect therapy within a school setting, collaborating with teachers and families to promote independence and success.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active Michigan Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility to obtain).
• Experience working in a school setting preferred.
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and goal development.
• Ability to conduct evaluations, interpret assessment results, and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Excellent communication, documentation, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and re-evaluations to identify students' functional and educational needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals.
• Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services to students.
• Support students in developing fine motor, visual-motor, sensory processing, self-care, and functional skills necessary for participation in school activities.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and related service providers to support student success.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development, accommodations, and progress monitoring.
• Recommend and support the use of adaptive equipment, classroom modifications, and intervention strategies.
• Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and compliance records in accordance with district and state requirements.

We’re seeking a dedicated, Full-Time (40 hours/week), In-person Occupational Therapist (OT) in Corunna, MI. In this role, you'll work to support students' motor, sensory, and functional needs. You'll play a vital role in helping students access their educational environment and develop the skills needed for success both in and out of the classroom. This is a temporary 12-week assignment starting in November.
