Job summary

Advanced Neurologic Rehabilitation is seeking an Occupational Therapist to deliver high-quality, evidence-based therapy and actively engage patients in their rehabilitation in Chandler, AZ. The role emphasizes clinical excellence, patient-centered care, and collaboration with the care team.

You will apply evaluation findings to establish OT interventions, document progress, and educate patients and families on home programs while adhering to clinic protocols and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an approved school of occupational therapy.
  • Current occupational therapy license in the state in which they practice.

Responsibilities

  • Performs clinic care and occupational therapy duties in accordance with the needs of the clinic and patients.
  • Promotes and has knowledge of and utilizes appropriate patient care protocol relating to the physical, cognitive, neurologic, psychosocial, and functional needs of ANR’s patient population.
  • Establishes occupational therapy interventions based upon the evaluation and examination, physician orders, and patient’s goals for therapy.
  • Competently performs appropriate occupational therapy techniques and procedures.
  • Provides for continuity of patient care through written and verbal communication with other health care professionals. Makes recommendations for needed patient care equipment prior to patient discharge and assists with acquisition of same as appropriate.
  • Documents findings, patient progress, and all procedures performed within established time frames.
  • Submits all patient billing at the end of each day.
  • Instructs patients/family members in home programs.
  • Demonstrates effective time management.
  • Complies with quality improvement standards.

2.Assists Clinic Manager with the onboarding, training, and development of staff physical therapists.

3.Collect and report key performance data monthly to Clinic Manager.

4.Contributes to the development of new service lines and business initiatives.

5.Meets regularly with Clinic Director to discuss the performance of individual staff members or the professional development of the department.

6.Manages conflict within the department.

7.Promotes greater staff engagement through recognition programs and clinical mentoring.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Graduation from an approved school of occupational therapy
  • Current occupational therapy license in the state in which they practice
BENEFICIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care which is age specific/appropriate for patients served
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Appropriate interpersonal skills to enable positive interactions with patients/families, and other health care professionals
