Total Education Solutions in California is seeking a School-based Occupational Therapist for a itinerant role across districts in El Dorado County, including Rancho Cordova. The position offers a manageable caseload and strong team support to help you focus on delivering effective therapy to students.

We welcome a full-time OT and are open to flexible arrangements. Compensation ranges align with experience, credentials, and language skills, with excellent mentorship and professional growth

Formación

• CA Occupational Therapy license required.
• Access to mobile phone and internet if offsite work.
• Auto insurance with adequate liability coverage for personal vehicle.
• Background check (FBI/DOJ) and TB test required.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare, review, and finalize OT sections of IEPs and related documentation per CA/IDEA requirements.
• Attend virtual IEP meetings with families and school staff to support student outcomes.
• Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to COTAs.
• Coordinate with OT team to ensure timely coverage for IEP meetings and assessments.
• Maintain organized caseload documentation and communication systems.

School-based Occupational Therapist

$47.50 - $53.47/hr*

*Salary range is contingent upon relatable experience, type of credentialing/certification, education, and use of a second language in your role (50% of the time).

Expectations:

• Prepare, review, and finalize occupational therapy sections of IEPs, assessment reports, and related special education documentation in compliance with California and IDEA requirements.
• Attend and actively participate in virtual IEP meetings, collaborating with families, district staff, and multidisciplinary team members to support student-centered outcomes.
• Provide clinical supervision, guidance, and mentorship to COTAs, ensuring services are implemented effectively and in accordance with applicable regulations and professional standards.
• Coordinate with a team of Occupational Therapists to ensure timely coverage of IEP meetings, assessments, and consultation needs across assigned districts.
• Maintain organized schedules, caseload documentation, and communication systems to support efficient service delivery and successful team collaboration.
• Consult with school personnel, caregivers, and service providers to develop practical strategies that support student participation, access, and progress within educational environments.
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture by sharing expertise, supporting colleagues, and helping maintain high-quality occupational therapy services.

Minimum Requirements:

• License / Certification from the state of California in Occupational Therapy
• Access to a mobile phone (for email) & basic internet (if working offsite)
• Hold appropriate automobile insurance with limits that allow driving a personal vehicle for work (at least 25/50k liability coverage)
• Must clear a current background check through the FBI and DOJ
• A current TB Test

Environment & Physical Qualifications:

• Varied work environments, including classrooms, clinics, and homes
• Moderate to loud noise levels and physical demands may vary
• Working with individuals exhibiting diverse behaviors and needs
