Total Education Solutions (TES) is hiring a School-based Occupational Therapist in El Dorado County, CA. The role offers an itinerant schedule with a manageable caseload and strong team support to back your practice.

We invite candidates who value independence and professional growth, with potential supervisory responsibilities. We are exploring flexible arrangements, including job sharing, to fit the right fit for our teams.

Qualifications

• Licensed in California as an Occupational Therapist (OT).
• Access to a mobile phone and basic internet if working offsite.
• Auto liability coverage for personal vehicle used for work.

Responsabilités

• Prepare, review, and finalize OT sections of IEPs and related docs in compliance with CA and IDEA.
• Attend virtual IEP meetings and collaborate with families and school staff.
• Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to COTAs, ensuring compliant service delivery.
• Coordinate with a team of OTs to ensure coverage of IEP meetings and assessments.
• Maintain organized caseloads and documentation to support efficient service delivery.
• Consult with school personnel and caregivers to support student participation and progress.
• Contribute to a positive team culture and ongoing professional development.

School-based Occupational Therapist

$47.50 - $53.47/hr*

• Salary range is contingent upon relatable experience, type of credentialing/certification, education, and use of a second language in your role (50% of the time)

Expectations:

• Prepare, review, and finalize occupational therapy sections of IEPs, assessment reports, and related special education documentation in compliance with California and IDEA requirements
• Attend and actively participate in virtual IEP meetings, collaborating with families, district staff, and multidisciplinary team members to support student-centered outcomes
• Provide clinical supervision, guidance, and mentorship to COTAs, ensuring services are implemented effectively and in accordance with applicable regulations and professional standards
• Coordinate with a team of Occupational Therapists to ensure timely coverage of IEP meetings, assessments, and consultation needs across assigned districts
• Maintain organized schedules, caseload documentation, and communication systems to support efficient service delivery and successful team collaboration
• Consult with school personnel, caregivers, and service providers to develop practical strategies that support student participation, access, and progress within educational environments
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture by sharing expertise, supporting colleagues, and helping maintain high-quality occupational therapy services

Minimum Requirements:

• License / Certification from the state of California in Occupational Therapy
• Access to a mobile phone (for email) & basic internet (if working offsite)
• Hold appropriate automobile insurance with limits that allow driving a personal vehicle for work (at least 25/50k liability coverage)
• Must clear a current background check through the FBI and DOJ
• A current TB Test

Environment & Physical Qualifications:

• Varied work environments, including classrooms, clinics, and homes
• Moderate to loud noise levels and physical demands may vary
• Working with individuals exhibiting diverse behaviors and needs
