Job summary

A home health care provider in Boston is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to provide in-person services in patients' homes. You will conduct assessments, develop care plans, and educate patients and families. Candidates must be licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Occupational and Physical Therapy Examiners. Experience in acute care or home health is preferred but not necessary, and strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential. Mandatory consideration - Provide OT (in-person) services in patient's home within Greater Boston Area

Caring Bees Healthcare is quickly expanding, and we are hiring to provide home health care services to our clients in the Boston and Greater Boston areas effective immediately. We care for patients of all ages and backgrounds who may require therapy visits in the comfort of their homes.

NOTE

• This is a full-time role with benefits. (We are also open for per diem arrangement)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide initial and ongoing EMR assessment to determine the level of functioning.
• Gather background data, review referrals, select and modify evaluation tools, and evaluate patients determining the level of patient’s physical and psychosocial functioning.
• Develop and revise the plan of care in consultation with the physician and other care team members.
• Responsible for planning, evaluation, and treatment implementation of the assigned caseload.
• Prepare clinical progress notes, evaluate outcomes, and plans discharge.
• Supervise therapy assistants and home health aides as appropriate.
• Educate patients and/or families about proper safe use and recommend methods for the installation of adaptive equipment.

Qualifications and Skills

• Currently licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Occupational and Physical Therapy Examiners
• Experience in acute care settings or Home Health is preferred but not required.
• Able to maintain strict confidentiality about protected and sensitive information.
• Must be able to solve problems independently and confidently by applying analytical and logical thinking.
• Able to read, analyze, and interpret reports, general business directives, policy and procedure statements, and governmental regulations.
