Skyline Transitional Care in Boise, ID is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist for PRN coverage in our rehab program. You will evaluate and treat patients with physical functioning disorders, develop care plans, and deliver medically necessary therapy to support recovery.

Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions.
• Assist with standing/walking and patient transfers as needed.
• Administer rehabilitation procedures including manual techniques and therapeutic exercises.
• Provide counseling to patients, families, and caregivers regarding physical disorders.
• Prepare comprehensive discharge summaries in line with regulatory requirements.

Skyline Transitional Care in Boise, ID, is a post-acute care facility with long-term care, short-term care, and geriatric services provided. We can offer a stable and fun in‑house therapy team to work with as well as excellent programs serving our geriatric clientele in their journey to recovery. We are currently seeking a dedicated PRN Occupational Therapist for our in-house rehab program!

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct effective screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing appropriate care plans adhering to regulatory and clinical standards.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• The role involves regular standing and walking throughout the facility and occasional lifting, transferring, and repositioning of patients and equipment. Physical demands vary throughout the day based on patient care needs.
• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, and wound care.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.

Qualifications

Occupational Therapist license is required.
