We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Occupational Therapists (OTs) to join our team at an in-house subacute rehabilitation facility in Blair, Nebraska. We are currently hiring for both Full-Time and Per Diem opportunities.
Our Occupational Therapists play an important role in helping patients regain independence, improve functional abilities, and achieve their rehabilitation goals following illness, injury, surgery, or other medical conditions.
This is an excellent opportunity for an OT who enjoys working closely with patients, families, nursing staff, physicians, and an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team in a supportive setting.
Evaluate patients' functional abilities and occupational therapy needs.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient goals and clinical needs.
Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions to improve strength, coordination, mobility, balance, cognition, activities of daily living, and overall functional independence.
Assist patients with activities of daily living, including dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, feeding, and other functional tasks.
Provide patient and caregiver education regarding safety, adaptive techniques, equipment, and home programs.
Recommend and train patients in the appropriate use of adaptive equipment and assistive devices.
Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements.
Communicate effectively with nursing, therapy, medical providers, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
Participate in care planning and discharge planning as appropriate.
Promote patient safety, dignity, independence, and quality of life.
Follow all applicable professional, facility, state, and federal requirements.
Current Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the State of Nebraska or eligibility for Nebraska licensure.
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
Current CPR/BLS certification, or ability to obtain as required.
Strong clinical, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team.
Experience in subacute rehabilitation, skilled nursing, long-term care, or post-acute care is preferred but not required.
