Who You Are
You are a compassionate and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist who provides Occupational Therapy mentorship, servicing students with autism, developmental delays, and other learning disabilities while working with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high quality treatment, documentation, and compliance in a school -based environment.
What You’ll Do
- Screening - Complete screening requests to determine each students need for an evaluation
- Evaluation - Conduct standardized assessments to determine eligibility due to Occupational Therapy deficits, such as fine motor, visual motor, visual perceptual, self-care, oculomotor, and sensory processing needs
- Treatment - Write evidence based Occupational Therapy plans for students who have Occupational Therapy related needs, incorporating various treatment strategies and accommodations
- Documentation - Complete documentation in accordance with deadlines while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
- Communication - Maintain communication with student’s families and/or caregivers regarding progress and needs
- Collaboration - Work with multidisciplinary team members to determine the most appropriate treatment plan based on each student’s needs and improve service delivery and treatment
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
- One year of progressive experience as an Occupational Therapist
- State Board of Occupational Therapy License
- Hold National Board Certification for Occupational Therapy if eligible
- Experience working with individuals with developmental delays (Preferred)
- Experience working in a school setting (Preferred)
Clearances & Training Required
- Act 33 PA Child Abuse History Clearance
- Act 34 PA State Criminal History Clearance
- Act 114 FBI Clearance issued by the Dept of Education
- Act 126 Mandated Reporter Training Certificate
- Act 168 from Previous Employers where you came into contact with children
- State License of Practice and/or Certification
- CPR/First Aid
- TB/Physical
