Job summary

Watch Me Shine is seeking a full-time, in-person Occupational Therapist to work at our Bangor school in Maine. The role focuses on play-based services to support sensory and motor development in preschoolers, within both therapeutic and classroom settings.

Qualified candidates hold a Master’s in Occupational Therapy and a current Maine OT license, with childcare experience preferred but not required. Travel is not required; comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities are offered.

Responsibilities

  • Determine appropriate therapy materials to meet client goals and needs.
  • Organize and maintain therapy room and materials.
  • Train staff on best practices and techniques to support occupational therapy programming in the classroom.

Our occupational therapists work in both a therapeutic and classroom setting to provide sensory and motor skills development. Our classrooms are hands‑on, providing ample opportunities and structure to provide skilled services based on industry best practices.

Essential Functions Of The Role
  • Provide client-centered assessment and services to preschool-aged children
  • Develop Plans of Care and monitor goal progress
  • Collaborate with client’s team including lead teachers, ed techs, clinicians, and caregivers

Qualifications

  • Current and valid OT License with the State of Maine
  • Experience in childcare is preferred/beneficial but not required!
