Qualifications

Overview

Over the past 24years, Biosymm has evolved into a quality leading occupational health and physiotherapy consultancy, growing alongside our valued client list that continues to expand.

We are seeking expressions of interest for Hygiene/Health Technicians who are looking for more out of their career.

Fly In Fly Out roles (ex-Perth)

Deliver a range of health and hygiene services on a FIFO roster flying out of Perth.

Various rosters include:

  • 7:7 (Week on; week off)
  • 4:3 (Monday - Thursday)
  • 8:6 (Week on; week off)

The successful applicants will work on a mine site in regional WA, but will be closely supported by our Biosymm team and our client\'s workforce.

Responsibilities
  • Providing on-site or in-clinic, high-quality Occupational Technician services for corporate clients to meet their requirements
  • Performing health assessments, such as audiometric (hearing) and spirometry (lung function) tests, to monitor the health of employees
  • Performing fit testing, such as training and carrying out respirator and earplug fit tests to ensure workers are using appropriate personal protective equipment correctly.
  • Working with Occupational Health, Hygiene and Safety (OHHS) specialists to collect data and implement improvements to work environments and procedures
  • Maintaining and calibrating testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability
  • Demonstrating the use of safety equipment and educating workers on safety practices.
  • Working closely with clients, medical professionals, and other team members to support employee health and well-being.
What we Need
  • Previous experience as an Occupational Health / Hygiene Technician
  • Proficiency and qualifications in audiometric testing and results interpretation
  • Proficiency and qualifications in spirometry (lung function) testing and results interpretation
  • Proficiency in quantitative RPD / HPD fit testing methods
  • Surface Ventilation Technician qualification (preferable)
  • Proficiency in noise surveys and management plans
  • Proficiency in dust monitoring and water sampling
  • Proficiency in vent inspections
  • Degree qualification in health, science or related field (preferable)
  • Mining experience (preferable)
