Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy and OT licensure in the practicing state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• 1 year pediatric OT experience; new graduates considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive occupational therapy services to pediatric patients.
• Collaborate with medical staff to design and implement pediatric care plans.
• Mentor students and other professionals and provide education.
• Support performance improvement initiatives and facility committees.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge on scope of practice, coding/billing, and compliant documentation.

This role focuses on helping children achieve maximum functional independence and participation in daily activities.Key ResponsibilitiesProvides comprehensive compliant and safe clinical care demonstrating the philosophy of family centered care, a commitment to the achievement of optimal patient outcomes in alignment with the standards of practice of their professional organization.Works with medical staff and the multidisciplinary team to design and implement individualized plans of care to meet the needs of the pediatric patients and their family.Functions as a team member and develops leadership skills through activities such as: mentoring, and providing education to students and other professionals.Supports the ongoing development and improvement of the department through participation in special projects, performance improvement and facility committees.Responsible for professional growth and development through ongoing education and research in alignment with hospital’s patient care and strategic direction.Responsible for maintaining current knowledge in changes related to scope of practice, coding/billing practices, compliant documentation and any other knowledge related to the compliant practice in a revenue cycle environment.Required QualificationsBachelors degree in Occupational Therapy.OT licensed in state of practiceBasic Life Support (BLS) certificationPreferred Qualifications1 year occupational therapy experience; new graduates consideredPediatric experienceCompensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
