Qualifications

Experience in safety and occupational health that provides the necessary knowledge and skills.
One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-09, as described in the job listing.
Ability to prepare written reports and present corrective recommendations.
Ability to train employees in safety and occupational health subjects.
Experience directing safety and fire protection inspections and PMI activities.

Responsibilities

Assist in administration of comprehensive Occupational Safety, Health, Fire Protection, and Industrial Hygiene programs.
Direct investigations of accidents and recommend corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
Develop and implement a comprehensive safety training program for staff.
Direct PMI work on facility safety and fire protection equipment and systems.
Perform safety inspections at outside facilities and report findings to management.
