This role plays a vital part in creating a safe and compliant work environment, reducing incidents, and promoting a culture of accountability and safety awareness throughout the company.The ideal candidate is passionate about worker well-being, detail-oriented in compliance efforts, and effective at working with both field crews and office personnel to reinforce safety standards.Key Responsibilities:- Monitor job sites and facilities to ensure compliance with company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
- Support and deliver safety training programs including new hire orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing field training.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, perform root cause analysis, and support the development of corrective action plans.
- Maintain safety documentation, SDS records, and compliance logs for both internal and external review.
- Assist with the development and refinement of safety protocols, policies, and emergency response plans.
- Collaborate with field leadership and project managers to reinforce safe work practices and improve job site safety performance.
- Track and report safety metrics and participate in monthly safety meetings and company-wide reporting initiatives.
- Stay current with federal, state, and local safety regulations and communicate updates effectively to teams.
Qualifications:- 3+ years of experience in a construction preferablyin electrical contracting.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, NFPA 70E, and construction safety best practices.
- Relevant safety certifications preferred (e.g., OSHA 30, CHST, STS, or equivalent).
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence safety behaviors across all levels.
- Ability to manage safety records and reporting tools (e.g., incident logs, audit reports, digital safety platforms).
- Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
