Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day clinical and administrative operations of Grand Valley Occupational Medicine.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and support to clinical and non-clinical staff, including physicians, nurses, medical assistants, and administrative team members.
  • Promote a culture of patient safety, teamwork, accountability, professionalism, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing, scheduling, patient flow, clinic capacity, and resource utilization.
  • Monitor clinic operations and performance to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, access, and patient experience.

Pay Range: $42.00–$48.30 per hour / $87,360–$100,464 annually, depending on education and experience

Position Overview

Community Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) and healthcare leader to serve as the Occupational Medicine Clinic Manager for Grand Valley Occupational Medicine in Grand Junction, Colorado.

This position provides leadership and oversight for the clinic’s daily clinical and administrative operations, with responsibility for staff leadership, patient care, regulatory compliance, operational performance, and employer health services.

The Occupational Medicine Clinic Manager will lead a multidisciplinary team and ensure the delivery of safe, efficient, high-quality occupational health services to patients, employers, and community partners.

The ideal candidate will have experience in healthcare leadership, occupational medicine, employee health, or ambulatory clinic operations, along with knowledge of workers’ compensation, DOT medical examinations, OSHA requirements, drug and alcohol testing, pre-employment physicals, return-to-work evaluations, work-related injuries, and employer health services.

Essential Responsibilities
Clinical & Operational Leadership
  • Lead the day-to-day clinical and administrative operations of Grand Valley Occupational Medicine.

Occupational Medicine & Employer Health Services
  • Oversee the delivery of occupational health and employee health services to local and regional employers.
  • Support services including:
    • Workers’ compensation evaluations and case management
    • Work-related injury care
    • Pre-employment physicals and screenings
    • DOT medical examinations
    • Drug and alcohol testing
    • Return-to-work evaluations
    • Fitness-for-duty evaluations
    • Employee health services
    • Occupational health screenings and workplace services
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with employers, insurers, workers’ compensation partners, and other external stakeholders.
  • Ensure employer service agreements and contractual requirements are effectively administered.
  • Monitor service quality and responsiveness to employer partners.
  • Identify opportunities to expand occupational medicine services and strengthen employer partnerships.
  • Collaborate with Community Hospital leadership on business development and growth opportunities.
Quality, Compliance & Regulatory Oversight
  • Ensure clinic operations comply with applicable federal, state, and industry requirements and Community Hospital policies.
  • Maintain knowledge of and compliance with applicable requirements, including OSHA, HIPAA, CLIA, DOT, ODAPC, CDC, CMS, NHSN, workers’ compensation requirements, and other applicable occupational medicine regulations and standards.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain clinic policies, procedures, protocols, and workflows.
  • Monitor compliance with clinical, operational, documentation, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives, audits, and regulatory or accreditation activities.
  • Promote a culture of patient safety and regulatory compliance.
Required Qualifications
  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Colorado.
  • Minimum of 3 years of healthcare experience , with leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferred in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in ambulatory care, occupational medicine, employee health, workers’ compensation, or a related healthcare setting preferred.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare operations, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
