Qualifications

• MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree.
• Board certification or board eligibility in Occupational Medicine/Preventive Medicine preferred.
• Completion of appropriate residency training that meets USA Health credentialing and applicable board eligibility requirements.
• Eligibility for an unrestricted medical license in Alabama.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive occupational health evaluations and medical services within an academic health system.
• Perform pre-employment, fitness-for-duty, return-to-work, and related evaluations.
• Evaluate and treat work-related injuries and illnesses; manage workers' compensation cases.
• Collaborate with employers and HR to address workplace health concerns.
• Contribute to education of medical students, residents, and other professionals.
• Engage in scholarly activity, quality improvement, and clinical research when interested.
