Position Summary

The Nurse Practitioner will provide occupational health and primary care support services for Department of State employees and trainees in Blackstone, Virginia. The position will provide evaluation and treatment for work-related injuries, acute illnesses, and urgent medical concerns, with a primary focus on occupational medicine and employee health services. The Nurse Practitioner will provide occupational surveillance services, including audiograms, blood lead testing, fitness-for-duty examinations, vaccinations, and medical screenings in accordance with OSHA and Department of State requirements. The role will also provide emergency triage, coordinate referrals when appropriate, maintain accurate medical records, and support workers compensation processes and clinical protocols. The position requires an active Virginia Nurse Practitioner license, current BLS certification, and primary care experience. Occupational health experience is preferred.
