Job summary

Ohio State University in Columbus, OH seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (APRN/PA) to deliver health care within the Occupational Medicine Department. The APP collaborates with physicians and other clinicians to manage preventive care and acute/chronic conditions in a hospital-affiliated ambulatory setting.

Candidates for APRN must hold Ohio APRN authority and an MSN, ideally with 5+ years in occupational medicine.

Qualifications

• APRNs must hold an Ohio APRN license and MS in nursing.
• NP program that qualifies for national certifying examination recognized by Ohio Board of Nursing.
• PA-Cs must be eligible for Ohio licensure as a PA-C.
• 0 years of relevant experience required; 5+ years preferred in occupational medicine.

Responsibilities

• Provide health care services to patients in collaboration with a licensed physician member of OSU Wexner Medical Center.
• Care for acute and chronic conditions with focus on preventive health.
• Refer patients to other providers and community resources when appropriate.

Education

Current certificate of authority to practice as an APRN in the State of Ohio

Master of Science Degree in Nursing

Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program

0 years of relevant experience

5+ years of advanced practice experience with prior occupational medicine administrative and clinical duties preferred

Masters Prepared; Graduate of a PA-C program

Eligibility for State of Ohio licensure as a PA-C
