Job summary

Yoh, a Day & Zimmermann company, is seeking an Occupational Health Registered Nurse for a direct-hire role in Pittsboro, IN. You will manage on-site injuries, perform case management, and lead employee health surveillance programs.

Active RN license and 2+ years of hospital or clinic nursing are required, along with phlebotomy and CPR/AED certification. Travel may be needed; you will train staff on First Aid, OSHA health requirements, and related programs.

Qualifications

• Active RN license.
• 2+ years hospital or clinic nursing experience.
• Excellent assessment skills in a clinical setting.
• Phlebotomy.
• Current CPR/AED certification.
• Travel, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Treatment of on-site injuries and referral to outside medical care as needed.
• Case management for injured workers and facilitate return to work.
• Provide medical surveillance for all employees including but not limited to annual audiograms, spirometry, vision screening, and lead testing.
• Provide medical surveillance and case management.
• Conduct new hire pre-employment drug and alcohol screening & coordinate medical examinations.
• Participate in ergonomics assessments and job hazard analysis.
• Responsible for training employees in First Aid and CPR/AED as medical responders to aid in the care of injured workers.
• Responsible for training employees in Bloodborne Pathogens, Hearing Conservation, Violence in the workplace, Ergonomics and Heat Stress to meet OSHA requirements.
• Maintain HIPAA compliant documentation.
• Accountable for delivery of agreed to regional health metrics and outcomes.
• Purchase all supplies required for the first aid clinic.
• Develop and meet site budget expectations.
• Drive increased health outcomes including reducing population health risks, managing, and eliminating workplace health risks and supporting improved business outcomes through advancing employee health and wellbeing.
• Willingness to work closely with the Safety Coordinators at the division level to recognize hazards and prevent injury.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• 2 or more years hospital or clinic nursing experience

Preferred

• 3+ years of experience in occupational nursing or emergency nursing and/or clinic experience
• 3 + years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, and/or occupational environment
• Working knowledge of regulatory areas (ADA, OSHA, FMLA, Workers’ Compensation)
• CPR/AED Instructor
• Health coaching/certification
• Certified Occupational Health Nurse
