Job summary

Bon Secours Occupational Health in Hampton Roads, VA, seeks a full-time Occupational Health Physician (MD or DO) with leadership interest to support Chesapeake and Denbigh clinics. The role blends hands-on clinical care with leadership responsibilities in a mature program, offering a weekday schedule with no call, nights, weekends, or holidays.

The physician will mentor NP/PA providers, oversee DERs, and grow the program while ensuring OSHA, FMCSA, DOT, and related guidelines are followed.

Qualifications

• Licensed MD or DO required.
• Background in Occupational Medicine, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Urgent Care preferred.
• Medical Director experience preferred.
• DOT certification required or ability to obtain.
• Interest in leadership and program development.
• Visa sponsorship not available (No J-1 or H-1B).

Responsibilities

• Serve as Medical Review Officer for drug screens or obtain certification within 6 weeks.
• Provide mentorship and clinical oversight for NP/PA providers.
• Guide Designated Employer Representatives (DERs).
• Support program growth through strong employer relationships and high-quality care.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, FMCSA, DOT, CDC, LEO, and NFPA 1582 guidelines.
