Job summary

Concentra in Albuquerque, NM seeks a Physician Assistant to provide primary medical direction and coordinate care within our occupational health program. You will examine patients, order tests, develop care plans and ensure compliance with medical protocols in collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a health field from an accredited college or university.
• Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• Pass the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE).
• Current licensed physician assistant in the state where employed and in accordance with state practice laws.
• Maintain active PA licensure throughout employment.
• Typically at least one year of experience in occupational medicine, urgent care, or emergency settings.

Responsibilities

• Examine patients, collect medical data and results of examinations.
• Order or administer diagnostic tests (X-ray, ECG, labs).
• Develop and implement patient management plans and document progress.
• Interpret test results and provide clinical judgments.
• Provide therapeutic procedures (injections, immunizations, suturing, wound care).
• Counsel patients on treatment adherence and health maintenance.
• Ensure high-quality, compassionate patient care and customer service.
• Maintain accurate documentation and paperwork.
• Contribute to policy development and staff education.
• Adapt to changing scheduling needs while maintaining care quality.
