Job summary

Corning Newton, NC seeks an Occupational Health Nurse to assess and treat employees, document medical histories in the EMR, and coordinate medical interventions. The role maintains health and safety standards, preserves confidentiality, and communicates with staff and leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years RN experience; Occupational Health Nursing preferred.
• BSN – bachelor’s degree in nursing is required.
• Current CPR Certification with ability to manage emergency response.
• Strong understanding of preventing and managing occupational injuries.
• Ability to maintain organized systems for timely patient flow.
• Proven ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Daily interaction with employees needing health services and providing nursing assessments.
• Documentation of treatments in compliance with OSHA or equivalent regulations while protecting privacy.
• Manage and implement the site’s medical Emergency Response Program.
• Guide disability processes and coordinate with insurance carriers and benefits teams.
• Support absence management and early return-to-work in collaboration with carriers.
• Perform medical surveillance as required by standards and provide medical treatment within licensure.
• Participate in Health and Safety programs including 24/7 initiatives.
• Interact with external medical providers as needed.
• Oversee medical inventory and respond to Health Services leadership requirements.
