Paycom in El Paso, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct patient care in an occupational health setting. The role focuses on injury and illness management, wellness initiatives and episodic care for workers.

The schedule is Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. Candidates should have Texas RN licensure (BSN preferred) and current BLS certification, with 3–5 years of RN experience, ideally in urgent care or occupational health. Compensation includes an hourly rate of $41–$44.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a valid RN license in Texas.
• BSN degree preferred and current BLS certification.
• 3–5 years RN experience required; 2–3 years in urgent care, ED or occupational health preferred.
• Occupational Health certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site treatment and injury management for workers.
• Coordinate care with physician and incident management program.
• Deliver episodic care for minor medical issues and provide OTC med follow-up.
• Maintain clinic inventory and supplies; support general clinic operations.
• Document and report injury data and clinic utilization.

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing direct patient care, injury and illness management, medical surveillance, wellness initiatives, episodic convenience care and assisting with other occupational and environmental health services, as needed, while maintaining a professional and patient-centered approach in an occupational setting.

Schedule: Monday - Friday; 40 hours per week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provideon-site treatment / management of injuries and minimize the need for off-site medical treatment
• Give on-site care, first aid and follow up to occupationally injured/ill workers
• Ongoing communication with the treating physician regarding employee clinical status
• Coordinate care with WorkCare’s Incident Intervention Injury Management Program and utilize Physician escalation services as needed
• Provide episodic care for minor medical issues, medical consultation and recommendations according to treatment care guidelines set forth and in collaboration with WorkCare Consulting Medical Director (CMD) and policy/procedures
• Support injury prevention through education and ergonomic evaluation
• Help employees prevent injuries and manage pain
• Report to client and WorkCare management periodically
• Contribute insight to incident reports and tracking of injury and clinic utilization data
• Order and maintain supplies to ensure that the clinic is appropriately stocked
• Participate in general flow of clinic operations
• Provide dose of common pre-packaged over the counter (OTC) medicine to employees for episodic care at no cost to the employee, as well as follow up care, which must be provided by the employee’s personal medical provider
• Perform additional duties and assume additional responsibilities as identified by manager for the efficient operation of WorkCare.

Qualifications: Education and Experience

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a validRN license in the state of Texas
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing is highly preferred
• Must hold currentBLScertification
• 3–5 years RN experience required
• 2-3 years’ experience in an urgent care, emergency department or occupational health setting preferred
• Certification in Occupational Health preferred

Physical Demands

• Requires sitting for long periods of time, working at a desk.
• Some bending and stretching could be required.
• Working under stress and use of computer/phone required.
• Manual dexterity required for use of computer keyboard and mouse.
• Occasionally may be required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel and/or crouch.
• May occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment

• Mainly indoor, office environment conditions.
• The noise level is usually moderate.
• Air quality is good, and temperature is controlled.

This position has an hourly pay range of $41-$44 per hour. Final compensation for this position depends on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and qualifications.
