WorkCare, Inc. in Boise, ID is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct patient care in an occupational health setting, manage injuries, and support wellness initiatives.

The role emphasizes a professional, patient-centered approach and collaboration with our medical director and care teams. You will work Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm, with requirements including Idaho RN license, BLS, and 3–5 years of RN experience; preferred BSN and occupational health certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with Idaho RN license.
• BSN highly preferred; BLS certification required.
• 3-5 years RN experience; urgent care/occupational health preferred.
• Occupational health certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing direct patient care, injury and illness management, medical surveillance, wellness initiatives, episodic convenience care and assisting with other occupational and environmental health services, as needed, while maintaining a professional and patient-centered approach in an occupational setting.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site treatment / management of injuries and minimize the need for off-site medical treatment
• Give on-site care, first aid and follow up to occupationally injured/ill workers
• Ongoing communication with the treating physician regarding employee clinical status
• Coordinate care with WorkCare's Incident Intervention Injury Management Program and utilize Physician escalation services as needed
• Provide episodic care for minor medical issues, medical consultation and recommendations according to treatment care guidelines set forth and in collaboration with WorkCare Consulting Medical Director (CMD) and policy/procedures
• Support injury prevention through education and ergonomic evaluation
• Help employees prevent injuries and manage pain
• Report to client and WorkCare management periodically
• Contribute insight to incident reports and tracking of injury and clinic utilization data
• Order and maintain supplies to ensure that the clinic is appropriately stocked
• Participate in general flow of clinic operations
• Provide dose of common pre-packaged over the counter (OTC) medicine to employees for episodic care at no cost to the employee, as well as follow up care, which must be provided by the employee's personal medical provider
• Perform additional duties and assume additional responsibilities as identified by manager for the efficient operation of WorkCare.

Education and Experience

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a valid Idaho RN license
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing is highly preferred
• Must hold current BLS certification
• 3-5 years RN experience required
• 2-3 years' experience in a urgent care, emergency department or occupational health setting preferred
• Certification in Occupational Health, preferred

Physical Demands

• Requires sitting for long periods of time, working at a desk.
• Ability to work under stressful, sometimes unpredictable situations.
• Manual dexterity required for use of handling medical equipment, performing procedures, computer keyboard; Use hands/fingers to handle, control, or fell objects, tools, or controls.
• Required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel and/or crouch; Some bending and stretching could be required.
• May occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to kneel and perform chest compressions for CPR life saving measures.
• Require daily walk to & from parking lot to clinic; may need to navigate uneven walkways and terrain due to construction site.
• May drive emergency vehicle within the site when responding to an accident.

Work Environment

• Mainly indoor, office environment conditions.
• The noise level is usually moderate.
• Air quality is good, and temperature is controlled.

This position has an hourly pay range of $48 - $52 per hour. Final compensation rate for this position depends on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and qualifications.
