Job summary

Phoenix Children's is seeking an Occupational Health Nurse in Phoenix, AZ to promote employee health through the Occupational Health Program, including case management of Workers' Compensation and ensuring fitness for duty before and during employment in accordance with applicable standards.

The role includes medical screenings, infection control, and safety education, plus collaboration with Infection Control, Safety, and Benefits to minimize exposure risks and support timely return-to-work for

Qualifications

• Pre-employment, annual, and Fit-for-Duty health assessments.
• Infection control & safety education and training.
• Develop, implement and evaluate health/wellness and safety programs.
• Collaboration with Infection Control, Safety and Benefits to identify materials and speakers.
• Investigate occupational health hazards and implement preventative measures.
• Plan and direct a comprehensive Occupational Health program.

Responsibilities

• Medical Screenings: pre-employment, annual and Fit-for-Duty assessments for employees, volunteers and staff.
• Infection Control & Safety Management Education/Training.
• Develop and evaluate employee health and wellness programs; collaborate with internal teams.
• Investigate health hazards and implement preventative measures to reduce exposure.
• Coordinate health program communications and notify departments of required screens and immunizations.
• Miscellaneous job-related duties as requested.
