Job summary

Dynacraft, a PACCAR Company, seeks an Occupational Health Nurse (RN) for its McKinney, TX facility. This role provides clinical health assessments, preventive services, and first aid for evening and third shifts, with periodic shift changes to support safety initiatives.

The ideal candidate has TX RN licensure (or compact) and at least three years of clinical experience, preferably in occupational medicine and safety. Strong MS Office skills are expected.

Qualifications

  • Current licensure as an unencumbered registered nurse (RN) in Texas or compact license with Texas privileges.
  • Three years of clinical experience required; occupational medical experience preferred.
  • Three years of safety experience preferred.
  • Accredited CPR/AED/First Aid Trainer preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates and administers basic first aid care and coordinates referral as needed.
  • Performs substance abuse screening per company policies and procedures.
  • Maintains drug/medical supplies and records; issues PPE.
  • Delivers health education and preventive wellness services.
  • Compiles injury statistics and communicates with physicians as part of disability/workers comp processes.
  • Responds promptly to safety items, audit findings, and employee concerns.

Dynacraft, a PACCAR Company, is headquartered in McKinney, TX. Dynacraft performs assembly, light manufacturing and distribution for PACCAR truck plants and the aftermarket. For more than forty years, Dynacraft has provided high quality components, subassemblies and specialized services. Dynacraft’s manufacturing facilities are located in Louisville, KY and McKinney, TX.

Job Summary

This position is located at the McKinney, TX facility. The Occupational Health Nurse (RN) will be an independent and organized member of the occupational health team to provide clinical, health assessment, and preventive health services for the Dynacraft McKinney Evening and Third Shift employees and specified contract employees. The Occupational Health Nurse (RN) is expected to work generally – Monday through Friday on evening shift. This role does require periodic shift changes in support of Safety Initiatives and Events.

Job Responsibilities
  • Evaluates and administers basic first aid care of minor illness and injuries and provides immediate emergency care, coordinating with supervisors or consulting physician in arranging referral and transportation for additional medical care when necessary
  • Provides substance abuse screening as needed in compliance with Company Policies and Procedures
  • Maintains drug and medical supplies, issues protective equipment and maintains related medical records
  • Provides health education, counseling and support for the delivery of the sites' preventive wellness services
  • Compiles accident statistics, maintains injury/illness logs, collects attendance data, and communicates with attending physicians as part of the disability management process and workers compensation process
  • Timely response to completion of safety items, audit findings, employee concerns, and near misses
  • Conduct benchmarking activities of other PACCAR and non-PACCAR plant employees

  • Three years of clinical experience required with Occupational Medical experience preferred
  • Three years of safety experience preferred
  • Accredited CPR/AED/First Aid Trainer preferred
