Job summary

MEDIC is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our occupational health team in California. The NP will perform physicals, pre-employment evaluations, and manage patient care in Rocklin, Sacramento, and Fairfield locations.

The role may be full-time or part-time, with compensation based on hourly or salary arrangements. Ideal candidates hold CA NP licensure, MSN/DNP, national certification, and strong clinical communication skills.

Qualifications

Current, active NP authorization in California.
Current Registered Nurse license in California.
Graduate degree from an accredited NP program.
National certification appropriate to the NP specialty.
Experience in primary care, occupational health, urgent care or family medicine preferred.
Strong clinical assessment and patient communication skills.
Ability to maintain accurate and confidential medical records.
Current BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive physical examinations and medical evaluations.
Conduct pre-employment and occupational health examinations.
Obtain patient medical histories and assess health conditions.
Order and review laboratory tests and diagnostic studies.
Perform or oversee EKG testing as appropriate.
Evaluate patients and develop treatment plans.
Diagnose and manage illnesses within scope of practice.
Prescribe medications when authorized.
Review examination findings and document results.
Refer patients to specialists when necessary and maintain EMRs.
Follow federal and California healthcare regulations and collaborate with physicians.
