Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking an Ambulatory Clinic RN for Occupational Health at Olathe Medical Pavilion A. The role requires current RN licensure, ambulatory care experience, and the ability to assess and manage patient needs in an outpatient setting.

Educational requirements include a high school diploma and nursing degree with licensure. BLS certification is required, with multi-state licensure or single-state license in good standing and proof of application as applicable.

Qualifications

  • High School Graduate required.
  • Associate Degree Nursing required.
  • 6 months RN experience required.
  • 2+ years RN experience preferred forAmbulatory Clinic RN PRN.
  • Bachelor Degree in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct patient care within ambulatory setting using nursing process.
  • Performs preliminary patient assessment through observation and chart review.
  • Evaluates unstable/complex patient care situations and intervenes.
  • Implements clinical decisions with appropriate use of resources.
  • Uses independent nursing judgment for care delegated.
  • Documents patient teaching and evaluates its effectiveness.
  • Educates patients and families about health care needs.
  • Responds to patient treatment related calls and referrals.
  • Completes forms (FMLA, DME, Home Health) as appropriate.
