Job Description

Occupational Therapist - Hand

Provides hand therapy to patients in outpatient clinics in Boston and Dedham.

Responsibilities and Functions
  1. Initiates patient care upon referral, assessing functional status and needs.
  2. Develops and implements a plan of care with measurable goals, documenting progress.
  3. Reassesses patient progress and adjusts treatment plans accordingly.
  4. Participates in discharge planning and ongoing care, interacting with patients, families, and healthcare team.
  5. Promotes patient education and active involvement in treatment.
  6. Maintains accurate documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  7. Supervises Rehab Aide tasks when applicable.
  8. Participates in staff meetings, education programs, and program development.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • MA Occupational Therapist License (renewed biennially).
  • Minimum 3-5 years of work experience.
  • Compliance with vaccination policies for flu and COVID-19.
