Job summary

Mercy is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide patient-centered care at our St. Louis, MO campus. You will plan and conduct OT programs, support activities in patient care, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote recovery and independence.

The role requires an accredited OT program graduate, licensure or eligibility in the hiring state, BLS certification, and readiness to respond to emergencies. National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program required.
• Current OT license or eligibility in the hiring state; temporary license up to 90 days acceptable.
• Current BLS certification.
• NBOT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to patients.
• Develop and implement OT treatment plans and goals.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to support patient recovery.
• Assist in emergency response as needed.

Displays treatment skills practicing within the scope of State Practice Act and in compliance with all rules and regulations with National Board and governing bodies in the state of practice. Promotes growth and development of department by assisting in special projects and/or coordinating activities in patient care programs.

Hrs: Mon/Wed 8:30-6PM, Tues/Thurs 7:30-5PM, Fri 8-12PM

Education: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.

Licensure: Current Occupational Therapy license or eligibility within the hiring state, may work under a temporary license up to 90 days.

Experience:

Preferred Hand Therapy, Custom Splint Fabrication and Neuro experience.

Certifications: Current BLS.

Other: Must be able to respond to emergency situations.

Preferred Certifications: National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy.
