Job summary

Physical Rehabilitation Network (PRN) is seeking an Occupational Therapist to lead the Hand Therapy program at the Bonney Lake clinic. You will evaluate, treat, and rehabilitate hand and upper-extremity conditions using exercise, manual therapy, and custom splints.

The role requires a Master’s in OT, state licensure, and strong collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. PRN offers a comprehensive compensation package and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Previous experience in a clinical or rehabilitation setting is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, critical thinking, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • CHT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine patients' functional abilities, limitations, and goals.
  • Design, fabricate, and fit custom splints or orthotic devices to support, protect, and rehabilitate the hand and arm.
  • Provide wound and scar care for post-surgical patients.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for holistic care.
  • Administer occupational therapy treatments including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, activities of daily living (ADL) training, and adaptive equipment provision based on individual needs of each patient.
  • Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques, home exercises, and adaptive strategies to maximize independence.
  • Regularly reassess patients' progress and modify treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations, progress reports, and treatment plans according to regulatory standards.
  • Communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation team members, to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Adhere to ethical, legal, and professional standards, maintaining confidentiality and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Meet the needs of having patient execute Plan of Care including but not limited to following up with patients if noncompliance occurs
  • Be a team player to utilize nonclinical staff to support needs of the caseload (IE play nice with aides and PSRs that help support the staff)
  • Delegate to COTA when applicable
  • Drive a collaborative culture based on our service vision
  • Adapt to change in patient schedules and daily patterns
  • Keep updated on advancements in occupational therapy techniques, technologies, and best practices, integrating them into clinical practice as appropriate

About the Role
