Responsibilities

Purpose of the job

At Orkin, our purpose is to help protect the world where we live, work and play. We have a FAST PACED, fully remote National Customer Contact Center with dedicated inbound sales, web sales, lost lead sales, customer service, retention, national accounts and termite billing/claims teams.

In this role, you’ll have a pivotal impact on the performance and success of our Sales and Customer Service teams, equipping them with the skills and knowledge they need to achieve their goals and exceed expectations. You will…

  • Design and create engaging training materials using PowerPoint, SharePoint, and video platforms.
  • Develop and deliver digital and physical educational resources to New Hire/Core agents via Teams.
  • Monitor, track, and document agent progress throughout training sessions.
  • Partner with our Sales and Customer Service teams to continuously improve training programs.
  • Gather and analyze feedback from trainees and managers to enhance training effectiveness.
  • Manage and complete all assigned training tasks on schedule with precision.
  • Process Improvement: Automate and simplify routine processes to make room for more complex work.

    • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. Shifts include 8 AM-5 PM, 9 AM-6 PM, 10 AM-7 PM, or 11 AM-8 PM. Flexibility is key!

Qualifications

What’s required

  • A proactive individual with experience as a trainer or mentor (preferred but not required).
  • Sales or Customer Service experience in a call center environment is highly preferred.
  • Remote work experience and reliable internet service.
  • Flexibility to work AM or PM shifts as required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced setting with short-notice changes.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Basic computer skills in various software and web-based applications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently

Work From Home Requirements

  • Appropriate workspace in your home, private/semiprivate home-office space free of distractions and background noise
  • A workspace with adequate furnishings (e.g., a desk and chair) and lighting
  • Minimum of 20 mpbs upload and 50 mbps download, high speed internet connection with the ability to hard wire directly to a modem
