An established industry player is seeking a dedicated per diem occupational therapist to provide essential therapy services to individuals and families. This role involves evaluating and developing therapeutic approaches tailored to daily living needs. The therapist will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure effective implementation of individualized goals. Ideal candidates will possess a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy and have experience working with children. The per diem occupational therapist provides occupational therapy services to individuals and families served by UCP of Central AZ within the therapy program. Per diem therapists support programmatic needs including caseload development for new staff, evaluation support, specialty program schedules, models of therapy that have variable dosage and other short-term needs to support the therapy program.
Essential Functions:
Minimum: Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, with a pediatric internship. Verifiable experience writing prescriptive programs.
Preferred: Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy, with one or more years of experience working with children with developmental or multiple disabilities. Verifiable experience with pediatric evaluation and treatment. Bilingual (English/Spanish)

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly is required to sit, stand, walk and manipulate (lift, carry, move) mediumto heavy weights up to 50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read , adequate hearing to perform job duties in person and over the phone.
Training Requirements
In accordance with UCP guidelines, it is necessary for employees to complete a series of trainings to meet the criteria for this position. The training department will provide a specific departmental guide for these requirements including additional updates.
Work Environment
The work environment includes an office environment, with the possibility of services in the community and travel by automobile.
