Job summary

Compassus in North Orange County is seeking compassionate caregivers to assist clients at home with daily living activities, grooming, meal prep and light housework. You will also support mobility, monitor health conditions, and report changes to the care team.

This role requires a valid California driver's license, prior caregiving experience, and BLS certification within 30 days. We offer mileage reimbursement and competitive hourly pay around $20.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Valid California driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Experience with older adults or physically disabled individuals.
• Professional caregiver experience, nursing student clinical experience, or CNA certification.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting and transfers.
• Provide meal preparation, medication reminders, shopping, laundry and light housekeeping.
• Support daily activities and exercises per the Plan of Care.
• Observe and report changes in client condition.
• Build positive relationships with clients and families while delivering care.
