Job summary

Rochester Regional Health is seeking a Registered Nurse I in the Obstetrics department at UMMC, Batavia, NY. The role is 36 hours per week with an Evening/Night schedule and requires a nursing degree and NY RN license.

Responsibilities include high-quality patient care, assessments, care planning, documentation, and continuing education. BLS certification is required, with preferred BSN in the future.

Qualifications

• U.S. nursing degree (Diploma or Associate’s) required.
• RN license in New York State required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides high-quality, patient-centered, clinical care.
• Performs initial and ongoing assessment of the patient, utilizing data.
• Communicates and documents assessment of patient with the interdisciplinary team.
• Utilizes all available resources to meet patient and family needs.
• Develops and documents plan of care tailored to patient needs and goals.
• Follows safety, medication, and documentation policies and procedures.
• Revises plan of care based on ongoing evaluations and updates documentation.
• Completes at least one CRU form for Nursing Research with a recent US article.
• Completes a minimum of 5 nationally approved CNE/CEU hours per year.
• Completes mandatory in-services and health screenings promptly.
• Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
