Job summary

An established industry player is seeking a dedicated OBGYN to provide essential call coverage in a supportive inpatient and emergency setting. This role involves a commitment to 24-hour call shifts every second week, ensuring that patients receive timely and expert care. With an emphasis on normal deliveries and C-Sections, the position is ideal for a board-certified OBGYN looking to make a significant impact in a trauma-level IV facility. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience, a clean malpractice history, and a willingness to complete necessary EMR training. Qualifications

  • Candidates must be Board Certified OBGYN or FM OB with an active CO license.
  • 2 years of OBGYN experience and clean malpractice background required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 24-hour call coverage every 2nd week of the month.
  • Perform normal deliveries, C-Sections, and emergent Gyn procedures.

Job description

Details:

  • Sat (7a) - Thurs (7a) - Every 2nd week of the month - 24 hour call coverage
  • Facility Location: 1338 Phay Ave., Building A, Canon City, CO 81212
  • Setting: Inpatient & Emergency Room - Trauma Level IV
  • Days per month: 5 days per month, ongoing
  • Required OBGYN Procedures: Normal deliveries, C-Sections, Emergent Gyn procedures
  • Required FMOB Procedures: Normal deliveries & C-Sections
  • EMR: EPIC
  • Support Staff: RN
  • Reason for Coverage: To reduce call burden for their 2 existing OBGYN physicians as they recruit for another perm provider.
  • Dealbreakers: Lack of availability, significant malpractice history

EMR Required Training:

  • Module (learn lessons) – Must be completed prior to virtual EMR training to attend the training.
  • EMR Virtual training – Only able to attend if Modules are completed before training. Virtual training must be completed before the provider’s first day and is only available Mon-Fri (7a-4p MT) for scheduling.

All candidates must complete the following EMR questionnaire and detail it in the notes section of the candidates submission at time of presentation:

  • What are the # of years of epic experience they have?
  • When was the last time (MM/YYYY) that they used Epic?
  • What is the name of the last facility the provider used EPIC?
  • Can you provide me with a photo large enough to add to a badge and not become pixelated?
  • Can you disclose the provider's time zone for scheduling the virtual epic training?
  • We need the provider's best phone # to use for call shifts while working. Can you disclose?
  • We need the provider's best email, to use for programs while working onsite and the preapplication. Can you please send us their personal email address?

Qualifications: Submission Requirements

  • Board Certified OBGYN or FM OB - Required, OBGYN board providers will be placed with higher priority
  • Active CO License - Required or IMLC (LOQ in hand at time of submission)
  • Active BLS, NRP - Required for credentialing
  • Active DEA - Required for credentialing (site will consider a transferred DEA, however, must keep this DEA for the duration of the assignment, not just for shifts worked.)
  • OBGYN or FM OB Residency Completion - Required
  • Minimum of 2 years of OBGYN experience - Required
  • Candidate must be available for most of the dates detailed in the job description to be considered for the need - Required
  • Candidates must detail all of the specific stints they can cover - Required
  • Candidates must acknowledge they understand the EMR training requirements set forth in job description and will complete in this order to avoid missing their start date - Required
  • Clean MP/Background - Required for Emergency Temp Privileges, Highly preferred for standard credentialing timeline (site prefers a limited number of MP cases totaling a maximum of $300k in settlements)
