OB/GYN opening in Waterloo, Iowa - H1B/J1 Visa Eligible

Position Details:

• Full-time, permanent position

• Nurse Triage service handles all patient calls outside business hours, covering routine labor and OB questions
• Experienced, trustworthy labor and delivery nursing staff with low turnover
• Newly expanded, state-of-the-art LDRP suites with 24 beds
• 2 full-time Neonatologists with Level 3 NICU; potential for transfer deliveries under 30 weeks
• 24/7 access to a responsive MFM consult via direct phone call
• Excellent backup from SICU, IR, Urology, and General Surgery
• Over 1300 deliveries in 2021
• Hospital designated as a Minimally Invasive Gynecology Center of Excellence by AAGL and Surgical Review Corporation

Responsibilities:

Provide office services and procedures including OB and GYN services such as colposcopies, LEEPs, hysteroscopy using Endosee, IUD insertions/removals, Nexplanon, endometrial biopsies. Offer a wide range of services for patients of all ages including annual wellness visits, obstetrics, prenatal care, ultrasounds, gynecology, birth control, and hormone management.

Clinic schedule: 4 days/week with flexible hours, including a surgery block. Clinic hours vary from Monday to Thursday, and Fridays when on call for the weekend. Call frequency: 1:6, with routine three-day weekends when not on call. Expect 18-26 patients per day. Work as part of a team to improve community health.

Qualifications:

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB-GYN
• Unrestricted medical license in Iowa
• Current and unrestricted authority to prescribe and administer medications as needed
• Eligible to work in the United States
