Job Opportunity: OB/GYN Locum Coverage

We are seeking two locum OB/GYN physicians to provide coverage at our facility. The shifts are 24 hours in-house, including weekends and holidays, from ASAP until early 2025 (TBD). Each locum will cover approximately 15-18 shifts per month.

Practice Setting: OBGYN-Family Life Center with Labor and Delivery, Hospital ED, and OR coverage. No outpatient or elective surgeries. There is potential for all practice settings if mutually agreeable.

Facility Details:

• Total Beds: 16 (6 labor, 10 postpartum)
• Physicians in Practice: 4
• Support Staff: Full team including RN, CNMs, 24-hour Peds, Anesthesia, and surgical PAs
• Onsite Lab and Ultrasound
• EMR System: Meditech

Patient and Practice Characteristics:

• Low Risk Pregnancy: 100%
• High Risk Pregnancy: 0%
• GYN Emergency Coverage: 15%
• C-Section Rate: 25%
• Nursery Level: Level I
• Average Nursery Admissions: 2 per day

Procedures Required:

Obstetrics Procedures

• Low Risk Pregnancies
• FHR Interpretation (NST, CST, FSE) and OB ultrasounds
• Level I/Screening (Viability)

Labor and Delivery Procedures

• Vaginal deliveries, low forceps, C-section decision-making, complicated deliveries (breech, multiple births, abruption, etc.), VBACs, and repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations

Gynecology Procedures

• D&C, open and laparoscopic surgical gynecology, tubal ligation, LOAs, chromopertubation, operative major procedures (including ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy)

Client will reimburse full travel expenses if needed.
